High School Equivalence Exam Preparation
Important information about preparation for the exam
The duration of the Exam Preparation Course depends on your previous level of knowledge and your level of readiness to take the HSE exam. At Dux Education we will not enroll you in a costly and lengthy exam preparation course. Most of our students get exam ready in about 3 - 4 month or less however, that depends mostly on how much effort and time you dedicate to study and get ready.
Get Ready for the HSE Exam
Step 1 - Take a Readiness Test
You can schedule a consultation with one of our instructors and take the readiness test. There are various test available to assess your readiness level. These test are professionally developed and industry standards. We do not create in-house test. All test are approved and in used by the Department of Education at the state and national/federal levels. Its always good to take the test although you can op-out not taking it. There is a very low cost for taking the test. The Readiness assessment fee will be refunded/credited to you if you decide to continue with your exam preparation course.
Step 2 - Exam Preparation Course
For most students the preparation course last 3 - 4 month or less depending on readiness level. Usually the most difficult area of preparation is Mathematics and that is where most students spend more preparation time. Our program is self-paced and it is the student who determines how much time to spend in each area of study. Our instructors guide you, they do not dictate what to do, you have the freedom to distribute your preparation time as you see fit. These are the areas you should prepare to take and successfully pass the exam: Mathematics, Reading, Writing, Science and Social Studies.
Preparation Methodology
There is not a fixed start date for you preparation course. You can start your preparation when you see fit. After registration is completed the student is given access to a Learning Management System (LMS). All the course materials are accessible on-line 24/7. All study materials, books, quizzes, etc. are free of charge. The cost of these materials are included in the preparation course cost.
Step 3 - Take the Post-preparation Readiness Test
This test will assess if you are ready to schedule and take the High Equivalence Exam at our testing center or any other testing center of your choice. These tests are professionally developed and industry standards. We do not create in-house test. All test are approved and in used by the Department of Education at the state and national/federal levels. This test is also free of charge, the cost is included in the preparation course.
