Registration and Information for Test Takers

How to register for the exam?

Pre-registration before check-in for testing always saves time!!!

To register for the the exam, you must have a valid email address, create a password and the some forms of picture identification.  Testers and applicants are required to provide two (2) or more forms of identification to demonstrate identity and residence in the State of New Jersey. If you have questions of what qualify as valid Picture ID and proof of address contact us and we will help with all necessary documentation.

 

For the TASC Exam follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://newjersey.tasctest.com
  2. Click on "Create New Account" and "I have never registered".
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Create a password - make sure it is one that you will remember - write it down
  5. Proceed with entering the information required
  6. Click on "Create Account"
  7. If possible, print a confirmation page and save it for your records

 

For the HiSET Exam follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://hiset.ets.org/test-takers
  2. Click on "Sign In / Sign Up" and follow the instruction entering your information
  3. Make sure you have an email address, if not create one before you continue.
  4. Create a password - make sure it is one that you will remember - write it down
  5. If possible, print a confirmation page and save it for your records

 

This is important to consider:

 

If you are under 18 years old the State of New Jersey Department of Education requires you to fill out and bring to the testing center a "Consent to Participate Form". You can find this form on the State of New Jersey website or click here

 

About special accommodations:

 

If you need special accommodation for your test please notify the testing center before check-in. Be aware that accommodations are only authorized by the test vendor not the testing center. Once the requested accommodation is authorized you should contact the testing center and schedule your test. If you need more information about special accommodation contact us for help.


Dux Education Testing Center Rules and Regulations

 

The day of your exam, at the time of your check-in and before you enter the testing room, you will be asked to sign and acknowledge receiving and reading the Testing Center Rules and Regulations.

 

In addition, here are few more thing we would like you to consider for the day of your exam:

 

  1. No phones or any kind of electronic devices are allowed in the testing room.
  2. We provide you with a calculator for your exam. However, if you prefer to bring and use your own calculator the testing center will inspect the calculator and delete/reset the calculator memory before entering the testing room.
  3. We Provide you with scrap paper and pen/pencils. Do not bring your own.
  4. Do not wear jewelry that can make noise or it is shiny enough to distract other in the testing room. The same applies to colognes, perfumes or body scents/deodorizers.
  5. Only you are allowed in the testing room, visitors will only be permitted to wait in the reception/waiting area.

After your on-line registration is completed call/contact Dux Education Testing Center to schedule your test.

 

Important to remember...

  • Check-in and testing is in person at the testing center location
  • Registration and testing can not be done at the same time on the same day
  • Come to the testing center on the date of the test with enough time to
    check in, about 15 - 20 min is a good time
  • Bring your registration confirmation
  • Bring your two (2) forms of IDs with you for check-in

The tester is responsible for maintaining a correct and accurate information in their test maker profile account. Your mailing address should be accurate and perfectly formatted for the US Postal Service to deliver you High School Diploma from the New Jersey Department of Education after you pass the exam. A wrong mail address prevents you to receive you diploma in a timely manner

How to pay for my Exam?

Testers taking the HiSET exam pay for the test on-line or over the phone at the moment of they schedule their exam. They should contact ETS, the maker of the HiSET test to schedule an appointment and pay for the exam. Contact ETS Customer Service at  1-855-MyHiSET (1-855-694-4738)

Testers taking the TASC exam can pay for the test over the phone at the moment they schedule their exam or at the Testing Center the day of your exam. Dux Education accepts Cash, Money Orders and/or all major or Credit Cards as forms of payment. No Checks are accepted unless it is mailed to us one week before scheduling your test.
